Prologue❣

Dear mom,

Though its been a long time, hope you are doing okay??. Well, just wanted to inform you that i'll be coming home soon..... and please, i repeat, PLEASE, when i get home don't keep nagging about me not getting married. And i don't need any woman right now because I'm so sure you've reserved for me. You may not want to agree with me on this term but i hope you listen, at least for once. Much love.

Episode 1: Mauna🧜

Deep down below the ocean, Mauna is being scolded by her father who is evidently the marine king...."Mauna!!! how many times have i warned you not to step beyond the stopping point!!!??" he yelled angrily.  Mauna, a beautiful young mermaid with a colorful tail is apparently shaken by her Father's angry voice.   She didn't know she would get caught by her father's guards..she would have been more careful.  Now she's faced with her Father's dreadful wrath "oh God! I'm in deep shit now" she thought within herself... "father it's not like that, i just wanted to explore part of the ocean i haven't seen and mistakenly  stepped beyond the stopping point". Her father looked at her in annoyance wondering what  to  do with such a stubborn daughter who is always inquisitive about almost everything.."Now to your room!!!! and note this you're grounded till further notice!!" ....,"but fath..." she tried to protest but was caught short "I said to your room now!!!". She swam soberly with her head down. In her room she lied on her bed thinking aloud, "but why will he have to ground me till further notice, he must be really angry, it's usually for a week or two" she sighed heavily "guess i"ll have to go the other way" she stood up and shifted a large picture frame of her close to her bed, exposing an underground route large  enough for her to pass through. She grinned to herself.

 " Mum i've told you several times leave me alone!! I'm not interested in any woman for now!" Dave said angrily to his mom. "Then when are you going to get interested in a woman! tell me Dave when! you're 28 for crying out loud ! and  you've not had a single girl friend! you keep rejecting every woman that comes your way! all you do is work! work! work!!" his mother, selina  yelled at him angrily and broke down in tears. Dave seeing his mother in tears, put his hand on his forehead "oh God what is this now" he moved closer to his mother and tried to console her ; "mom it's okay you don't have to cry when i'm ready to settle down with a woman i'll tell you" she pushed his hand away and raised her head up "that's what you keep saying but you never bring a woman home" she cleaned her tears with the back of her palm and looked at him "if you're not willing to bring a lady home, then I'll do that for you..her name is Helen you'll ....like her. She is the daughter of my friend, she is very pretty and well behaved".

"Oh God!!!! not again mom i told you I'm  not interested !!!! " He picked up his car keys and walked out angrily. "Dave!! come back here!! don't you dare walk out on me!!!" Selena shouted angrily. 

     At the bar with his childhood friend Jeremy...."Dude what's up you look pissed off" Jeremy said looking at his friend. Dave looking very angry "nothing really bro".  "OK let me guess you had another fight with mom?" . "Yeah, see you can  guess  right" he answered.  "Still on the same matter? guy i think you should listen to your mom, she's right , you need a woman" Jeremy said tapping his fingers on the table.  "Hey! please stop i came here to have some peace, not to listen to the same words that keep upsetting me" Dave said. "Common Dave,you're a very handsome, rich young guy.... u're every woman's dream, any reasonable woman would want you so why rejecting them??".  "That is  the thing!! they all want me because of my money and looks not because they love me!" Dave pointed out to him.  "Oh Dave at least you should try them out, all of them aren't like that" Jeremy replied.  Dave sipped on his drink ignoring him. "OK Dave look at those pretty ladies over there" he said pointing at some set of ladies at the table close to them. They had been staring at Dave since trying to catch his attention. When Jeremy pointed at their attention and Dave looked up in in their direction they squealed in happiness "oh! oh! the handsome guy is looking!!" then they waved at them.

  "See look at them waving at you" Jeremy said. Dave just rolled his eyes and gave a disgusting sound "silly girls". Jeremy stood up and said "come on Dave let's go over to meet them".  "You can go if you like as for me I'm not getting up" Dave said. "OK if you say so" then Jeremy moved to the girls table "hello ladies how're you doing" he said stretching out his hands to shake them "hello I'm Mary and this is my friend Anne" they said shaking his hands. 

Dave saw them coming over to his table "meet my friend Dave" Jeremy said.. "hi Dave" the girls chorused giving him a seductive look. Dave got up without replying the girls, gave Jeremy an angry look, picked his car keys and walked out.
