Episode 2: Confused!
At the palace in the ocean, an old merman with a rod in his hands pointed to the king who is seated on his throne, is talking to the king in a gentle but firm voice..." Fate, oh fate! it never sleeps, it never slumber".
"Old one, tell me what the prophecy says and stop the riddles and parables" the king demanded anxiously. The old man fixed his gaze for a moment on the ground as if searching for an answer. "Sarafa! speak up!!" the king said impatiently. The old one raised his head slowly and said in a loud voice "What goes around comes around! THE RIGHT ONE IS COMING!!". The king who seemed shaken by the old one words, stood swam quietly to his chamber.
In the princess room, Mauna who had been struggling to come out of her secret underground route was finally out . She breathed a sigh of relief and got on her bed. Then she stood up and began pacing up and down with a finger on her lip
"No, no, no! this can't be, how the hell did my father know about my secret route! i did not tell anybody right? Oh God now it's blocked"...."oh what should i do about it " she sat on her bed brooding about it for a few minutes then jumped up happily
"Yes! that's it!! i know what to do". she swam out of her room to the palace kitchen. When she got there the cooks greeted her and she went straight to the chief cook; an old mermaid who had been cooking for the palace for the past 50 years. She was like a mother to Mauna ever since her mother died and Mauna confided in her...."oh my darling princess how have you been" she stretched her hand open for mauna who in turn rushed to hug her..."I'm fine granny it's just that i need a little help from you" she said slowly. "What is it my dear?" Granny asked with a concerned look. "Please i need some of your strong liquor urgently, please! please!" Mauna pleaded making a puppy face. "Ok, ok I'll give you the liquor but you must promise to tell me what you intend to do with it when you're done..you know you always get me whenever you make such puppy face" granny said pinching her face playfully . " Yes! yes! granny, i promise, i"ll tell you everything when I'm back" she said happily as she gave granny a peck on the cheek. She collected the liquor and left.

"Oh! welcome my son" Selena welcomed smiling as she went to open the door for Dave. He hugged his mum briefly, greeting her and also wondering why he received such a pleasant greeting from her.
"Dave meet my friend Margaret and Helen i told you about; Maggie, Helen meet my handsome son Dave". Dave stared at his mother giving her an confused look🤨 then turned to greet her friend " Good evening ma". "Oh my son good evening, you are such a goodlooking man, you take after Selena" Maggie responded cheerfully. "Thanks for the compliment ma" then he turned to go but Selena stopped him saying "ah ah Dave won't you greet Helen". Dave turned to a smiling Helen "oh sorry hello Helen" he greeted hastingly and turned to his mother "i have to go i need to take a shower" then he walked to his room. "Mum thinks she can force a woman on me, hmm! it can never work, no wonder she greeted me so pleasantly, i knew there was something to such greeting" he said to himself pulling off his clothes.
In the bathroom while bathing, he saw something that scared the daylight out of him; the strange tattoo of a big fish on his left forearm started glowing brightly "holy shit!! what's this" he screamed and put off the shower. Immediately the tattoo stopped glowing. He quickly picked up his towel, ran out of the bathroom and dressed up. Then he went to meet his mom. He found his mom in the sitting room fuming with anger. "Mom i really need to see..." ...... "Stop it right there! Dave why do you have to do this!" he was cut short by his mother's angry voice . "Mum i don't understand what you are trying to say" Dave said looking confused. "Don't pretend to me, you know that i called my friend and her daughter over to introduce you to her so you can start a relationship!" She said angrily. "Mom please don't start again, i thought i made it clear that i don't need a woman yet; anyways, i came for another matter, mom i really need to talk to you about something". "Just go! i don't want to listen to anything cos you're pissing me off right now" . "But mom..." ...... "I said go!!" she yelled. "I should go ??? Fine!! I'll leave this house for you!!" he said angrily and went out. He drove furiously to a nearby beach.

Mauna felt really excited about carrying out her beautifully plotted plan...she carried the strong liquor carefully as she hurried to where the palace guards are. After serving them the drinks, she hid behind a pole and watched them uttering nonsense and finally dozing off. Then she tip-toed carefully and checked if they've slept deeply; assured that they were deeply asleep, she smiled mischievously to herself and passed through the gate without making any sound. After swimming for many hours, she finally got to the shore of the ocean and squealed excitedly "finally!! I'm free!"

Episode 3: Coincidence
On getting to the beach, Dave came out of his car slamming the door furiously, He started kicking the dust angrily then sat down, frustrated " but why?! why do i have such a difficult mom that doesn't understand me?! why does nobody understand me?! why the fucking hell do i have a glowing tattoo on my arm?!" . Finding no answers to his rhetorical questions, he sat down and just stared at the calm ocean moving in rhythm to the wind. Then, he saw something; so strange!, he stood up and moved closer to get a clearer look. He was shocked, so stunned he had to move back a little. He saw something that looked like a dream, something he never even thought existed, A MERMAID!!! CHANGING INTO A HUMAN!!!.😦😱

Muana was so excited, she looked at her feet she just got from the transformation, "oh my God, i now have feet, they are so beautiful!" she squealed happily wiggling her new toes. Then she looked back and saw something; a HUMAN!🤑 oh! how she longed to see one and finally here is one in front of her looking flabbergasted and fixed on a spot unable to move. She moved closer to take a clearer look "oh humans are so beautiful!" she exclaimed stretching her hand to touch him but he staggered back scared. She moved closer again to touch him......"stop! don't touch me" the human shouted looking frightened then, he ran off. Muana was so surprised "but why is he running?" she asked herself.

Dave was so shocked at what he saw that he couldn't move, he even heard the mermaid squealing happily because of the new feet she got. Then she turned to him and he saw the most exquisite face with the most beautiful large blue eyes he had ever seen. The beautiful creature even moved closer to take a clearer look at him. He heard her admiring him " oh humans are so beautiful " . She wanted to touch his face but he staggered back scared,she moved closer again wanting to touch him but he yelled at her "stop! don't touch me!" and he ran to his car quickly, frightened by what he saw. As he wanted to start his car to move, he noticed the tattoo on his forearm glowing brightly. "Oh no! not again!" he groaned loudly "what the hell is the meaning of this?!" he shouted slamming his hands on the steering wheel.
Selena kept pacing round her room, she was obviously worried. "If only I had taken him, he wouldn't give me much trouble like Dave". Then she sat on her bed sighing heavily. "Oh God I don't want Dave to go there it's too dangerous" she said with her palms on her face.
"What's too dangerous??" Dave said barging in and slamming the door angrily.
"It actually no..no...nothing, " she said startled. "So, I thought you've gone".........
"I'm going back to my apartment and i won't come back for a long time" Dave said leaving the room. He then turned back abruptly "Mom is there anything about me that you are hiding from me?"
Taken aback, she answered "What do you mean by hiding from you, and what will I be hiding from you son". After staring at his mom as if searching for an answer he said "OK just forget it, I'm gone". He stormed out of the room.
Before getting to his apartment, he stopped at Jeremy's house to inform him that he's leaving........."but why do you have to leave the house, you know your mom gets lonely when you are not around" Jeremy said offering him a glass of water. "Jeremy you won't understand, many strange things have been happening to me lately and anytime I try to tell her about it she doesn't give me a chance to talk, she just keep nagging about me not getting married and it sickens me" ..... "Strange things like what?" Jeremy asked folding his arms and raising an eyebrow...... "Seriously this may sound really crazy, but you got to believe me" Dave moved closer to Jeremy facing him "I went to the beach today to calm my nerves cos I was being frustrated at home, and then I saw something coming out of the sea...it sounds crazy but... what I saw was a mer...maid!!". Jeremy stared at Dave for a while dumbfounded then he burst into laughter "dude that was a good joke, it really got me" he said admist laughter. "Jeremy!! stop! laughing!...seriously do I look like am joking???" Dave yelled fustrated. Still laughing Jeremy said "of course you don't look like you're joking that's why your joke got me...oh God you are so good🤣...ok listen to mine, at the park yesterday we saw a very huge dragon spitting out flames...ahh ahh😂😂....it's good right" he kept laughing hard...."Ok it's okay if you don't believe me, but just take a look at the tattoo on my arm" Dave raised his sleeve to show him. "This tattoo keeps glowing anytime water touches it" Dave took the glass of water on the table and poured it on the tattoo and it started glowing brightly "What the f...!!! whe....how....did this happen!!!" Jeremy asked really shocked. "So now you believe this huh..do you know what shocked me the most, the tattoo started glowing right after I saw the mermaid..without water touching it". "Wait, wait, all this is really crazy and tangled....maybe you seeing the mermaid is just an hallucination" Jeremy said still startled by what he saw. "Hallucination!! dude! I don't even believe in mermaids and those silly superstitions so why will I hallucinate about it!!....I''m so frustrated right now, I really think my mom knows something and hiding it from me" Dave said. "Dave what you need right now is a lot of rest, take a break from too much work and u need a visit to the psychologist once in a while cos all this crazy unbelievable stuffs happening right now is getting you all worked up" Jeremy said giving him a concerned look. Dave stood up, hugged his friend and left for his apartment.
