Now, that is elemental pirate lingo and we’re going to be using them a lot here because we are embarking on a journey through life’s violent storms and unstable emotional weathers to discover a treasure… a very valuable one like buccaneers in a vast ocean known as “YOU”.
Don’t forget to take along your compass of attentiveness as we set sail to the real deal in finding the valuables embedded in you.
To start off, we have to realize there is to a great degree, the significance people perceive and place on you on the short run during their principal encounter with you, and inducing that appropriate aura can merely be subtle changes that incorporate lots of messages, like self-confidence. For example, shoulders relaxed, chin tilted a little bit upwards or simply being able to hold an eye to eye contact two seconds longer are efficient progressions. Still, the underlying factor to standing out as a premium, first class individual and being taken seriously, is SELF worth.
Self worth is a sense of one’s own significance as an individual and it works with under no circumstances, condescending for ethics or morals inferior to your criterion. Although there’s a very thin line between narcissism (arrogance) and self worth, narcissism favours dominance and works towards pulling others down in order to stand above them while self worth acknowledges equality, reflects humility and is an internal validation.
Possessing a high-pitched self worth is an invaluable tool we’ll need in digging out the treasure we seek. Aye! Aye! Few steps in getting a high self worth include: Using positive affirmations correctly, identifying your abilities and utilizing them as well as affirming your real worth.
Our ship is just a few leagues at sea and I can say we are off to a great voyage. Cheers! Get yourself a bottle of rum with salted pork, some sardine and pay a little more attention.
Moving on, the reason why I have stressed “self worth” is so that you know that no one can help you have a high self worth except you. It is an internal approval that purges one of low quality aura and unless it is exceedingly well established, it will disintegrate with time making all what you’re about to imbibe next a waste.
The steps needed to make a good impression and come off as being secure and self-assured are ones you learn over time through constancy and dedication. That is, don’t be to hard on yourself and expect to get it right on the first, second or maybe third attempt. Those steps include:
• Reading, reading and… Reading: Having an extensive understanding on various issues of interest give you an inbuilt confidence that naturally reflects in your mannerisms making you and everyone else treat you with utmost respect but, how do you expect to have a vast knowledge on diverse topics except through reading? Besides, a recent research shows that reading increases your sex appeal. Yippee!!
• A good self hygiene: The importance of a good self hygiene both on the short and long run just can’t be overemphasized. Your fragrance tells a lot about you on first meet and makes you more approachable by like minds as well as being held in a very high esteem by those that perceive you from afar. It also works wonders because you don’t have to stress it. It’s just there, with you.
• Maintaining an assertive posture: This will very likely have the most impact, especially on those you’re almost always with. It changes their notions of you subconsciously and although it takes lot of endurance before your body naturally adjusts to them, it is worth the initial inconvenience. The postures include: keeping your legs aligned, about to 4-6 inches apart, keeping your shoulder back and relaxed, holding eye contact for a very comfortable period of time – not too long, or short, keeping your voice at an even tone and pace, using hand gestures as you speak and also, smiling.
All these knowledge and practicing will go a long way in helping you unravel the treasures within you because you come off as being irresistible at first meet. This goes on to help with interviews, political appearances and so on.
Still, don’t forget that you want to come off as being confident and important not being proud and inwardly insecure.
